About Dusty

Dusty Workman began his musical journey at a young age. Always intrigued by music, Dusty's first taste came when he received his first drumset for Christmas at age 10. Dusty's ability to play music by ear and pick up the drums quickly led him to a life filled with musical experiences. After playing in every opportunity available in countless bands and eclectic musical styles, Dusty began to reach some of the professional goals he had dreamed of from a young age. Dusty was fortunate to be able to work behind the scenes doing lighting and other jobs for artists like Barbara Mandrell, Kenny Rogers, The Oak Ridge Boys, Willie Nelson, and many others. But the desire to be "ON" stage not behind it was pushing him forward. Dusty's life as a drummer flourished when he and friend Jim Bush started the country music group Dixie Road. With four Nashville produced CD's, an opportunity to sing at an event with President Bush, being on several million cd's that were included in the ISC / NASCAR race programs in 2001, a couple of videos and sharing the stage with many of the top country music artists in the industry like Keith Urban, Willie Nelson, Shania Twain and many more. It seemed that Dusty had finally reached the success he had longed for. "While I was successful from a worldly view, I realized that I was lax in holding my faith and my family as my first priority. I realized I had to reprioritize my life and focus fully on God, His will and my family "After walking away several years ago from the fast rising country group, Dusty now uses the musical talents God has given him to proclaim the Gospel through his music. Currently Dusty serves as the worship leader at Grace Community Church and has redirected his music for one purpose...Glorifying God!! Dusty Continues to look for any opportunity to share his music and testimony anywhere God leads him. "The music keeps calling and my passion and my heart keeps telling me that I must continue to reach out and help people who are lost by sharing my testimony through my music and my experiences." Dusty released his first Award winning Christian CD, "Let Me Get the Door" in 2005 and has recorded the first four songs of his newest CD "I Just Want to Prasie You" in 2009. Dusty is planning another CD project with award winning singer/songwriter Eddie Kilgallon in which the two share a music ministry together called "Evidence of Journey""My purpose is to use the musical talent God has given me to create music and to use it as a vehicle to share the Gospel to those who may not know Jesus and who have no hope for what amazing things are possible with the love and grace of God."

What is GracePoint Ministries?

Dusty has begun a new adventure with Korey Kincaid and GracePoint Ministries. Having traveled and shared his music ministry with many churches and events, Dusty had often been asked for someone to speak in addition to the music, thus the need to partner with a very talented and God Focused speaker, Korey Kincaid. GracePoint Ministries came to fruition when they had realized a passion to share the supremacy of Christ with marriages, families, and individuals outside the walls of Grace Community Church in Overbrook, Kansas. In short Korey and Dusty have a love and a heart for the marriages, families, and individuals for Grace Community Church, but that love and passion did not end there; hence GracePoint Ministries! The vision of GracePoint Ministries is threefold:

(1) To point marriages to the transforming power of grace in Jesus Christ.

(2) To point families to the transforming power of grace in Jesus Christ.

(3) To point individuals to the transforming power of grace in Jesus Christ.

Does Dusty Speak at GracePoint Events?

Dusty has and continues to speak and share his testimony at many events, however music is his passion and is how he best shares God's calling. Leading worship and sharing the gospel through his music is his strength while Korey does the majority of preaching the Gospel at any events they do together.

Dusty had the experience of a lifetime as he visited Belize and had the opportunity to share his ministry with the people of that country. Check back for pictures of this experience.

Dusty Workman and Travis Marvin had an opportunity to share their music this summer at the "EXTREME MAKEOVER" VIP tent. "We hope our music was an encouragement and lifted spirits to all who were working in 110 plus degrees, giving their time, talents to help staff Sgt. Evidence of Journey

What is Evidence of Journey? Evidence of Journey is a unique musical testimony of two friends and musicians who have traveled different roads in the world of music, but are arriving at the same final destination.Eddie Kilgallon has been a songwriter/musician his entire life, and was propelled into the national spotlight as an original member of the Columbia Records country group "Ricochet." The group had many hits, including the #1 song "Daddy's Money", as well as "What Do I Know", "Love Is Stronger Than Pride" and many others. Eddie also doubled down when King of Country Music George Strait took one of his songs to #1 on the country charts for five weeks. Eddie is currently the band leader and keyboard player for Montgomery Gentry and continues to play at sold out shows around the country.Dusty Workman is no stranger to the stage, having worked with many national acts such as Willie Nelson, Shania Twain, Keith Urban, and many others. His success with the country music group Dixie Road allowed him to be featured with the group on millions of CD's through a national NASCAR ISC promotion. The group experienced great success and recorded four Nashville-produced CD's, two videos, as well as National Anthem performances for the NFL, NASCAR, MLB, and even for President George W. Bush.

"Performing for thousands of people is thrilling and a great experience," Workman says, "but using our music and testimony to make an eternal difference in people's lives is a greater use of the talents God has blessed us with." This is why Eddie and Dusty chose to create "Evidence of Journey." At an Evidence of Journey performance, you will see a non-stop musical experience of Eddie and Dusty's two different journeys in the music industry. You will hear and recognize songs they have performed in front of thousands as well as a few that will help you reminisce and take you back in time. An Evidence of Journey event is never the same as the one before and their performances include parts or all of dozens of different song titles. As you get caught up in the memories, their testimonies and stories bring you to the real purpose of the evening - sharing the Gospel through their music and using their talents to glorify God.
